Music

I began piano lessons when I was four, and studied with Tamriko Siprashvili for many years. Following that, I studied piano performance at Carnegie Mellon University School of Music before going on to earn a degree in industrial design at Pratt Institute in New York City.

I’m currently teaching both privately and at Inspire Academy of Music and Arts. My goal is to help students discover music as a creative outlet. I’d like my students to not only master a musical foundation - rhythm, musicality, music theory - but be able to confidently apply what they’ve learned to problem-solving new challenges. The core concepts of music are a great way to practice discipline, theory and application - skills that are equally essential in school subjects and in careers. I’ve enjoyed the challenge in finding different ways to explain and teach concepts, and have found that through teaching, I’ve increased my understanding of music as well.
